Introducing the Kentchurch Butler: a unique, limited edition gift that's practical as well as handsome!
The Kentchurch Butlers are individually hand made with great fun and enthusiasm in rural Herefordshire, a few miles below the Black Mountains. The hub of operations is an early nineteenth century barn on my wifes family estate of Kentchurch.
With its sturdy tray set at just the right height, it's not just a novel place to put your drink. It can hold whatever you wish - from keys and gloves in the hallway to canapes at a party.
Smart, practical and fun, your butler is light enough to be picked up and placed wherever you need him – by the sofa, on the lawn... even in the loo!
Everyone seems to agree it's a marvelous gift, very original and a definite talking-point!
HAND MADE
Hand made and painted on an ancient English estate in rural Herefordshire, your butlers credentials are impeccable. Each comes individually numbered and dated. We can even paint your chosen initials onto the plinth for that extra personal touch.
CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICATION
Each Kentchurch Butler is made and painted to order, marked with the date it was made and given a unique number. When you receive a butler you automatically get a certificate of authentication with it.
"This all adds to the fun of giving."
HISTORY
It all started in December 2004 - family from all over the globe was about to descend on us for Christmas and we faced the problem of what to give as presents to the male relations. In order to keep everyone happy, I came up with the idea of the Kentchurch Butler and made one for each of them, twelve in all. Each butler was stamped with the recipients initials, and each had a bottle of champagne resting on the butlers tray.
The response was amazing. By the end of the holiday I had been asked to make another twenty, followed by many more from people who had seen or heard about the butlers through word of mouth.
Since March 2005, we have received orders from as far a field as Australia, the USA, Greece, Italy, Holland, Spain, Ireland, France, Russia and even The Cayman Islands!
